There are still preschool teachers who face challenges in systematically managing Teaching Aids (BBM), particularly in aspects related to the planning, implementation, organization, and control of teaching materials during the teaching and learning (PdP) process. This situation sometimes leads to BBM being underutilized as a pedagogical tool to enhance students' active engagement and learning experiences. Therefore, this study was conducted to explore the management of BBM in improving preschool teachers' teaching practices. For data collection, this study utilized a qualitative approach through a semi-structured interview design. Purposive sampling was used, involving three preschool teachers who possess qualifications in Early Childhood Education and have more than one year of experience in managing BBM. The research instrument consisted of a semi-structured interview protocol developed based on recommendations by John W. Creswell (2014). The interview data were analyzed using thematic analysis by Virginia Braun and Victoria Clarke (2006). The findings showed that the management of BBM by preschool teachers involves four main themes: planning the use of BBM, implementing the use of BBM, teacher leadership in managing BBM, and controlling the use of BBM. The findings also indicated that teachers manage BBM systematically by considering learning objectives, children's developmental levels, material safety, the use of manipulative and digital materials, teacher guidance, and continuous monitoring of BBM usage. The implications of the study demonstrate that systematic BBM management is capable of improving the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process as well as students' active engagement in preschool education.
