Abstract

The teaching of Islamic Education teachers aims to enhance knowledge and improve people's lives to achieve worldly well-being. In order to build the student's personality as a knowledgeable caliph, the role of Islamic Education teachers should be pursued to meet the goals of Islamic Education especially in the interior. Thus a study on the challenges of teaching Islamic Education teachers was conducted using exploratory qualitative approaches using case study design. The study involved two study participants selected purposefully and conducted at different study sites to explore the challenges of teacher education. The findings show that the challenge of teaching Islamic Education teachers in the interior is the lack of facilities and infrastructure such as prayer rooms and religious rooms. In addition, poor student exposure in exotic schools, lack of religious appreciation and basic weaknesses of the Quran are the challenges of teaching Islamic Education teachers in the interior. This study also found that the problem of less and less varied fuel was a challenge for teacher teaching in the context of this study.
