Abstract

This study aimed to explore governance assessment in preschool based on management aspects of teaching in the classroom. This study is a case study, of qualitative nature. A total of four rural preschool teachers were involved under Ministry of Education. Data were collected through interviews protocol, the protocol of observation and analysis of the contents of documents in duration of four months. The data are based on the recommendations of Miles & Huberman (1994). The results showed that pre-school teachers master of governance assessments knowledge but do not have the skills to assess according National Pre-school Curriculum Standard(KSPK). To develop the best standard of assessment, an empirical study should be implemented. For example, an exploration assignment is one of the measuring tools. By doing this, preschool teachers can assess the talent and attitude of the students. It is therefore recommended that KPM be planning a standardized assessment for all preschoolers and can be used in all government or private preschools.
