PENGARUH DAN PEMIKIRAN FUQUHA PATANI DALAM BIDANG PERUNDANGAN ISLAM DI MALAYSIA

Abstract

Basically, this article intends to examine the impact of Pattani's quguha legal thought on the development of Islamic law in Malaysia. The first part of the article provides a general introduction of the subject and this is followed by a discussion of the Muslim ummah's connection with the Malay Archipelago in the pre-colonial period. Following that, the impact of the fuquha legal though is viewed through the pondok institution by examining the paradigm and curriculum employed. The fourth section considers its impact on Jawi literature (kitab Jawi) with particular attention on the Mazhab paradigm and reference sources usually used in such literatures.
