Abstract

This study was aimed at exploring the potential utilization of mobile applications in Islamic Education. The Mobile applications were developed using the Learning Mobile Author Software version 4 based on the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement & Evaluate) instructional model. A total of 31 Islamic Education teachers and 31 students in secondary schools were involved in testing the applications. This study used descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage and mean) to measure users’ perception of application usability. The findings showed that the application was at a high-usability level. The userfriendly aspect also met the user needs. In conclusion, the mobile applications have great potential for integration into the Islamic Education subject. However, some constraints were apparent such as the button design and the mobile phone operating system speed. Further studies should be carried out to address some of the issues in the application development.
