Pemikiran Kritis Dalam Teks Naladiyar (நாலடியாரில் காணப்படும் உய்யச் சிந்தனைகள்)

Abstract

This study examines as critical thinking featured in Naladiyar, a masterpiece of work of sangam maruviya kalam.  The purpose of this research is to identify and reveal the critical thinking as practiced by the early Tamil community during the period of Naladiyar.  It employed qualitative approach which focuses on content analysis mainly library research where by literary interpretation method has been employed. In order to showcase the critical thinking of the Naladiyar, an approach of FRISCO was used. The FRISCO approach comprises six main elements of critical thinking namely Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarity and Overview. The findings indicate that Naladiyar has critical thinking elements in it which goes along with FRISCO.  Furthermore, Naladiyar is emphasizing awareness all along in its text and awareness is identified as an important element in Naladiyar. The researcher has derived a new approach named FARISCO from FRISCO, where the ‘A’ stands for awareness.   The findings on the critical thinking in Naladiyar can be used as a guide to the future generation, apart from that it can be a foundation for future researchers in the effort to deepen the understanding for critical thinking in detail based on any classical Tamil literature.

நாலடியாரில் உய்யச் சிந்தனை எனும் தலைப்பிலான இந்த ஆய்வு, சங்கம் மருவிய கால நூலான நாலடியாரில் உள்ள உய்யச் சிந்தனையை ஆய்வுசெய்து வெளிக்கொணர்கிறது.  400 பாடல்களைக் கொண்டுள்ள நாலடியார், திருக்குறளுக்கு ஒப்பான புகழ்மிக்க நீதி நூலாகும். நாலடியார் பாடல்கள் வழியாக, நாலடியார் காலத்தில் வாழ்ந்த மக்களிடையே விரவியிருந்த உய்யச் சிந்தனையை அடையாளம் கண்டு; வெளிப்படுத்துவதே இந்த ஆய்வின் முதன்மை நோக்கம்.  தமிழர்கள் உய்யச் சிந்தனையை பயன்படுத்திய உலகின் முதல் குடிகள் என்ற முடிவுக்கும் இந்த ஆய்வு இட்டுச் செல்லக்கூடும்.  நூலகப் பயன்பாட்டின் வழி இலக்கிய உட்கிடக்கையை பகுத்தாய்ந்து முடுவுகளுக்கு இட்டுச் செல்லும்  இந்த ஆய்வு பண்புசார் ஆய்வாகும் (qualitative research).  சேகரிக்கப்பட்ட தரவுகள் மிகத் துல்லியமாக  வகைப்படுத்தப்பட்டு; அவற்றிலுள்ள உய்யச் சிந்தனைகள் FRISCO அணுகுமுறை மூலம் ஆய்வுக்குட்படுத்தப்பட்டன.  FRISCO என்பது குவியம்(F), காரணம்(R), அனுமானம்(I), சூழல்(S), தெளிவு(C) மற்றும் பார்வை(O) என்ற ஆறு கூறுகளைக் கொண்டதாகும். இந்த ஆய்வின் வழியாக கிடைத்த தெரிவுகள், முடிவுகளாக வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. நாலடியாரில் உய்யச் சிந்தனைக் கூறுகள் இருப்பதை இந்த ஆய்வு முடிவு எடுத்துணர்த்துகிறது.  உய்யச் சிந்தனை வெளிப்பாட்டில் நாலடியார் ‘விழிப்புணர்வு’ என்ற கூறுக்கும் மிக முக்கிய இடமளித்திருப்பது இந்த ஆய்வில் தெரியவந்துள்ளது. இதனைக் குறிப்பிடும் வகையில் A என்ற எழுத்தை இணைத்து,  FARISCO என்ற புதிய அணுகுமுறையை ஆய்வாளர் உருவாக்கியுள்ளார். இந்த ஆய்வு முடிவுகள் அடுத்தக்கட்டமாக செய்யப்படும் பல ஆய்வுகளுக்கு தொடக்கமாகவும், முன்னோடியாகவும் அமையுமென்பதில் ஐயமில்லை.
