அமுதசுரபிகள் நாவலின் உள்ளடக்கம்-ஓர் ஆய்வு (The contents of Amuthacurapi Novel: A Review)

Abstract

Mr. P. Santhirakantham is one of the well-known writers who have made significant contributions to the Malaysian Tamil literature. He, also, is one of the longest-running writers in the country, who has been involving himself in various fields of writings like the novel, short story, drama and essay. To date, he has imprinted his unique identity and brand, especially of those involving the history of Indians in Malaysia. He, for that, has produced historical series and historical novels besides of writting a series of articles on the Tamil newspapers of the country. His deep knowledge, extensive experience and clear thinking about Malaysian Indians and Malaysian politics favoured him to document all of them in his writing, extensively. He has close links with the Tamil newspaper industry and the radio industry in Malaysia. After a long break, he is now back in charge of the Sunday edition of the Tamil Alliance. The author has written a lot of stories that are craving for great social emancipation, providing a variety of stories and information. His latest literary product was the novel, entitled, Amuthacurapi. The novel contains a wealth of news, information and references to the history of Indian society, the country and the world, with a tasty and brilliant story lines that will entertain the reader.

ஆய்வுச் சுருக்கம்

மலேசியத் தமிழ் இலக்கியத்திற்கு வளம்சேர்த்த எழுத்தாளர்களுள் ப. சந்திரகாந்தமும் ஒருவர். இந்நாட்டில் நீண்டகாலமாக எழுதிவரும் எழுத்தாளர்கள் ஒரு சிலருள் இவரும் ஒருவர்.  இவர் நாவல், சிறுகதை, நாடகம், கட்டுரை எனப் பல்வேறு துறைகளிலும் ஈடுபட்டு அவற்றில் தம்முடைய தனித்த அடையாளத்தையும் முத்திரையையும் பதித்துள்ளார்.  வரலாற்றுத் துறையில் மிகுந்த ஈடுபாடும் பிடிப்பும் கொண்டவரான இவர் வரலாற்றுத் தொடர்கள், வரலாற்று நாவல்கள் ஆகியவற்றையும் படைத்துள்ளார். இந்நாட்டுத் தமிழ்ப்பத்திரிகைகளில் அதிகமான தொடர்கதைகளை எழுதிய சிறப்புக்கும் உரியவராக இவர் காணப்படுகின்றார். மலேசிய இந்தியர்களைப்பற்றியும் மலேசிய அரசியலைப் பற்றியும் ஆய்வுகள் மேற்கொண்டு அவற்றில் ஆழமான அறிவும் விரிந்த அனுபவமும் தெளிந்த சிந்தனையும் கொண்டிருப்பவர். தமிழ்ப்பத்திரிகைத் துறையோடும் வானொலித் துறையோடும் நெருங்கிய தொடர்பும் பிணைப்பும் கொண்டிருப்பவர். நீண்ட இடைவெளிக்குப்பின் தற்போது மீண்டும் தமிழ் நேசனின் ஞாயிறு பதிப்பின் பொறுப்பாசிரியராகப் பொறுப்பேற்று அதனைச் சிறப்புற வெளியிட்டு வருகின்றார். இவ்வாறு இந்நாவலின் உள்ளடக்கத்தில் கதையோடு கூடிய பல்வேறு தகவல்கள், செய்திகள் ஆகியவற்றைத் தந்து இந்நாவலை ஒரு சிறந்த சமூகவரலாற்றுப் பதிவாகத் தந்துள்ளார் கதாசிரியர். வாசகரின் உணர்வுக்கு விருந்தாகும் சுவையான, விறுவிறுப்பான ஒரு கதையோடு வாசகரின் அறிவுக்கு விருந்தாகும் வகையில் சமுதாயத்தின், நாட்டின், உலகின் வரலாற்றை ஒட்டிய செய்திகளும் தகவல்களும் குறிப்புகளும் இந்நாவலில் ஏராளமாகவே அடங்கியுள்ளன.
